Misinformation, rumours and propaganda contribute to regional instability, outbreaks of violence and continued conflict. Una Hakika (meaning "Are you sure?" in Swahili) is an initiative of the Sentinel Project to counter misinformation by building networks, tools and common practices which provide at-risk communities with verified information so that the influence of hearsay can be minimized.
The initiative is currently operating in several locations within Kenya with up to 200,000 people reached to date.
